This novel is a re-issue of a celebrated and very hot Harlequin Blaze, Midnight Fantasies series (it was the first book of the series in fact), called “Erotic Invitation”, initially released in 2001. The book entered the Waldenbooks Top Ten Series Romance Bestseller list and won the 2001 Rose Award for Best Series Romance.

Carly Phillips is the pen name used by Karen Drogin to write over twenty-three best-selling contemporary romance novels. Interestingly, she’s a lawyer, turned stay at home mom & romance writer. But when asked if was there any part of her in Mallory’s character, she replied, “not at all”. Shall we believe her? ;-)

Questo romanzo è la riedizione di un famosissimo e ”piccante” Harlequin Blaze della serie Midnight Fantasies (di cui tra l’altro fu la prima uscita), dal titolo “Erotic Invitation”, pubblicato per la prima volta nel 2001. Il libro si classificò nella lista Waldenbooks dei Dieci Migliori Bestsellers per la categoria Romanzo Breve, e sempre nel 2001 vinse il premio Rose Award per il Miglior Romanzo Breve.

Carly Phillips, il cui vero nome è Karen Drogin, è l’autrice di oltre ventitre romance contemporanei. E’ interessante notare che Karen è un’avvocato, che ha lasciato la professione per fare la mamma e la scrittrice di romance a tempo pieno. Ma quando in un’intervista le è stato chiesto se c’era qualcosa del carattere di Mallory in lei, la sua risposta è stata “assolutamente no”. Dobbiamo crederle ? ;-)
