How the ChildsPrey series began was an accident. I was trying to write a fanfiction with two real life favorite Japanese musicians. I had two or three short chapters done and showed it to Anne. We both thought it would be a wonderful original story so we took the idea of a young pop star with an older hard-rocker who'd been famous for many years and Orange Moon was born.

We loved all the characters so much we had to tell their stories, too. Winter Song is actually the middle story of the series. It was published first because it had the winter/Christmas theme.

For favorite authors I love Meg Cabot for fun stories that always make me smile. I loved the early books of Stephen King and Anne Rice. And I've always wanted to write police stories like those of Ed McBain's 87th Precinct series.
