oh my Lisa Kleypas ???

I'm in awe, I'm so thrilled after reading this wonderful interview!!!

dear Lisa, I beg your pardon in advance for talking to you in such familiar terms, I agree with Naan , you're beautiful and from what I read you also have a rugged husband...that' s not bad ! :)

I love your books, I bought and read all those which have been translated in Italy so far, they are wonderful ! I'll buy all next ones as soon as released - no doubt about that.

I love strong heroes, and in your books I can have plenty of them!

The covers and stepbacks of your books are beautiful, have you any voice in choosing them?

Are you taking inspiration from your relationship with your husband while writing a book ? I mean, is your husband an inspiration source for you?

Finally as Naan already said, if you ever come in Italy, I'd love to meet you, I live in Sardinia but I cannot swim, funny isn't it? to meet you I'm ready to catch a raft, a plane, an aerostat, a ship, a dinghy....anything! !!

Thank, it has been a pleasure and a honor to know you !

Ladies, ten minutes of silent contemplation :

LISA KLEYPAS.

I still have to read the interview, I have just bought the book which includes it but I cannot prevent myself from writing at once something about this terrific Author. She is one of the greatest authors in the world, two of her books are on the first and second place in my DIK list, you cannot imagine how thrilled I am to know that she might soon stop by and reply to some of our questions.

I'll be back soon to ask my questions, but since now I want to thank Lisa Kleypas, her writing style is exemplar and daydreaming while reading her books is so easy that it's hard to stop reading even when you get to the last page.

I'd really like immensely to have the opportunity of meeting her one day, even if just for asking her to sign the books I have.

Thanks once again, I'll be back in a while with my (hopefully) interesting questions! :)

Silvietta

Here I am again, I have just finished reading the interview. I totally agree about the fact that an author is for a book a bit what a director is for a movie - imho Lisa Kleypas's magic is much more than writing sensational sentences, is the ability to make people totally forget where they are because they find themselvessuddenly plunged in a different dimension. Until you have finished the book you simply cannot read or see anything else. I am a daydreamer since I was a teenager, but daydreaming following Lisa's cues is really an unforgettable experience.

Here are my first questions:

1) Did anybody propose you, or have you ever thought yourself to make a movie out of any of your novels?

2) If yes, which one you'd like to see on screen and, most important, have you ever thought of specific actors, famous or not, which could play your characters?

Another point of the interview I found very interesting is the one about your relationship with your husband and the differences between the two of you .

On that respect:

1) Is your husband reading your books before they are released ? if it's the case, lucky him :)

2) If he usually reads your books, which is his favorite one? has he ever told you: "How funny, this character looks just like me!" :)

I especially loved when you said that you'd like to re-write some scenes of your earlier books, but you are not doing that since those books are part of a different period of your life.

I also agree with the way you modified your heroines, from defenseless beings to women with a character... by sure it's a necessary change to grab modern women's interest, even when talking about past ages.

Speaking about heroines, I'd love to ask you:

1) With which of your heroines do you feel to share the most?

I always had a great interest for the graphics of books' covers, probably it's the first thing which captures people's attention. In fact I'm a passionate of cover art and I am an amateur graphic artist.

So here are my questions:

1) Are the covers of your books chosen by you or by your publisher?

2) Which kind of covers do you prefer for your books, generally speaking? People, ladscapes, other...?

Form a general standpoint:

1) Which facts or situations are usually the starting points of your stories?

2) What would you recommend to a young reader which is thinking she'd like to be a writer?

3) Which are according Lisa Kleypas the basic ingredients to write a worthwhile romance ?

4) Which was the touighest work you have ever done for one of your books?

Since I have read you's like to know Europe a bit better, and especially Italy:

1) Which are the Italian cities you'd like to visit?

2) What would you like to know about your Ireaders should you ever meet them (besides what they think of your books, of course)?

I stop here even if my curiosity even if as curious as i am i could go on forever, but I'm sure translating all this will be already lots of work .

Thanks to Lisa Kleypas and to the bloggers for the opportunity you have given us.

Thanks a lot

Silvietta

oh my, you want to see me dead today girls ! Lisa Kleypas! (Raffaella giggling stupidly)

okay I'll try to brace myself, first of all my compliments to Lisa, so far I have read only "L'alba dei sogni" ( Where dreams begin) and now I have just started the Bow Street Runners series ( Raffaella smiling even more stupidly ). I'd love to ask Lisa a question, she really looks like a very kind and nice and beautiful person.

From where did the idea of a saga about Bow Stree Runners come, and who was the inspiration for your characters in this series?

Thanks in advance,

Raffaella
