When I lived in Las Vegas, I met people from around the world who moved there to find employment. It is easy to conceive that a writer of crime novels would find great story ideas there, and would purposely relocate to Las Vegas to further his career. I tried to make Antonio someone who Valerie would be completely overwhelmed by, emotionally and sensually, and despite her family’s disapproval, and Antonio’s commitment issues, she could fall hopelessly in love with him.
 
He is definitely different. My editor at Red Rose Publishing said, “That Antonio is something else!” I think she fell in love with him, too!
