Yes, I would say that in each one, there are what you would call "paranormal" elements--celtic magic--moreso.. they are blended however in the context of the time, setting and story so that it enhances the legend that we are writing about.
"The chant" in each story is conveyed to the heroine in different ways and she must use it to achieve her happily ever after--per se.
